Eye catching trucking companies - Steven's Transport

I just love these trucking companies & logistics companies that spend extra time & money in overhaulting and customizing their fleets, so that when you spot their trucks driving down the freeway, you KNOW which trucking company it is without even having seen the logo. For me, because I'm a bit of a weirdo ;), it goes even further than that. I'll spot some of these trailers and I won't only know which company they belong to, I also pretty much remember what type of trucks are hauling the trailers.
I mean, truly, their trucks are nothing but a huge rolling billboard & advertising for a company, if the company is able to put together a nice look that can be recognized no matter where they drive.

One of my very favorite trucks that I see out on the highways are the ones that come from Steven's Transport. With their big, shiny trailers and their black trucks, not to mention that very stylish & elegant logo they have, it just really makes for a very nice & eyecatching package. I'll be sitting in traffic, and all of a sudden I'll spot the Steven's Transport trailer and at that point I'm just dying to move forward so I can pass the truck and get a good look at it.

Oh yeah ... uh .... forgot to mention one little detail .... these trucks are usually big black (or dark blue) Kenworths ... *blush* Whose to say I'm biased? lol.

It so happens the Steven's Transport has the largest fleet of Kenworth T2000 in the country. (Does that mean that they have the largest fleet of T2000s in the world? I don't know but I'm tempted to assume so...). For a Kenworth fanatic like me, that's pretty cool!! I found an article from 2005, and that point they had 1300 T2000s in their fleet and were about to expand it with another 600. Boy do I ever wanna go on a shopping excursion with Steven's Transport!!! :-)))

Seriously, other than the superduper stunning and fierce-looking Kenworth trucks they have, what caught my eye about Steven's Transport is the really awesome color coordination between trailer, truck and logo. It's just a perfect set, it can't be missed and although I personally get excited when I see Steven's Transport, because most likely it means I'll be able to drool over a nice black Kenworth for a few seconds, other motorists are also bound to recognize Steven's Transport when they see their trucks on the road.

Below are a few photos of Steven's transport trucks ... since I'm not usually in a position to take photos when I pass them, I've borrowed most of these from http://www.stevenstransport.com -- I hope they don't mind :)

Great Blog! I know someone or used to know someone that drove or Stevens. I never heard him complain about the company. I would like to mention in your writing you said something about the tractors being black... well their tractors are blue, a dark blue. Now wait, if you see a black one, a couple of yellow ones and I think 1 red one those are owner-operators. Their lease fleet is the DARK BLUE! Now it has been a few years since i visited with that guy and since he doesnt drive for them any longer I dont know if teh yellow and red ones are still carrying the Steven's Eagle. I do know 1 black T2000 lives in Longview Texas. I see him parked in the city regularly. Great Blog! Jay

Stevens Transport"s trucks may look pretty (which they are), but the owners and their management are an ugly breed. I work for Stevens and they consistently prey on their employees. Next time you see a Stevens truck, ask the driver when the last time he was allowed to go home. Ask him how many times he's been lied to, cheated and stolen from. Most importantly ask that driver what Stevens does to get them home for the holidays. I am a successful driver and o/o with no family, but I feel for hardworking men and women that get screwed by Steve Aaron and his greedy kids everyday. This company has no business doing business in this country. They take from the community and give little to nothing back. They ruin families and exploit hard working Americans for their personal gain.

Hi everyone, This site is excellent and so is how the subject matter was explained. I like some of the comments too although I would suggest everyone stays on the subject matter so that to add value to the message.

I work for Stevens Transport! I can say I have had and still having a very positive lucrative career here. I drive a brand new 2011 Black Peterbilt. I go home every 4 weeks without fail. The anonymous poster who has complained about them either doesn't know how to budget money, or run his truck efficiently. BTW all those pics you posted were photo shopped. LOL! They still look cool though!!

Well it just so happens I too get home when I need to, after 3 weeks out I always put in my two week notice of when I need to go home it gets me perfect home time 5 weeks out 5 days in my DM is awesome at her job she lands me at home walking in my house on the exact day I requested to be home.
Might help you get home if you weren't a company driver tho I hear those company side DMs are horrible I really feel sorry for you tho bud but home when you want and good pay is just an Alliance perk I guess.
